The Garden

There is (almost) always something in bloom at the Garden by the Gate!

The season starts with our perennials. Delphinium, Astilbe, and Peonies are among our spring bloomers.

Roses, a bride’s favorite

Late spring brings roses in bloom. Here at the Garden by the Gate we have more than one dozen David Austin English rose bushes, along with a few other favorites like the Queen Elizabeth pink rose.

Midsummer Annuals

In summer our annual cutting garden begins to bloom. We grow most of these from seed, sometimes starting indoors before Easter. They include cornflower, zinnias, cosmos, godetia, snapdragons, lisianthus, larkspur, lace flower, and more.
